Taking a chance

Today I took a chance. Despite the pain. Despite the fatigue. Despite the doubts that threatened along with the clouds above. I ventured out into nature. Like so many times before. It had been too long.

I am drawn to the crunch of dirt and leaves beneath my feet. To the scent of eucalyptus and fresh air. To the sound of water and fauna. To the sight of green against the blue. To my soul-mates who come alongside.

I am grateful for the journey, however short it was. My feet grateful for the feel of earth. My nose grateful for the smells melding into one. My ears grateful for the sound of life running. My eyes grateful for the sights of color and texture. My soul grateful for friendship.

Grateful for taking a chance.

Peace,

Michelle
