The view from outside

Last night I was able to attend a provocative play written by a young woman from Kansas, US. A small-town girl with a world-premiere play about arrogance and ignorance, and how it affects our relationships. Beautifully written, wonderfully acted- what a great thing for me to be able to get out of the house and into society for once. I was feeling strong and good and so grateful I was able to go out. I forget how different the view is from outside vs. inside my own house and community. Such a variety of people, a variety of ideas, (a variety of yummy food to boot!). I was so grateful for the stimulation, too, after being so isolated from this chronic illness.

I was so encouraged to see this young woman have such a successful thing come to fruition. What power she had over the audience with the words she had written.

So, keep writing, keep doing, keep on.... you never know where, how, or whom your words will land and how powerful they can be.

And also one more thing.... it reminded me to keep taking chances- to keep pushing myself just a little, because the rewards can be so great.

Peace-
Michelle

The play is called "How the World Began" if you ever have a chance to read or see it.
