Fundraising for The Rafiki Club

Dear friends,
I am a real Rafiki now since I got my first letter from Kenya. It is from Ruthlyne, a 19 year old single mother. I am very proud to be Rafiki with such a young women. I hope very much I can send her some strength with my words.

Her letter came right in time as I had a private birthday party last weekend. I made it a small fundraising event and asked the guests instead of bringing presents, to give a donation to Project Africa and The Rafiki Club. I presented the letter from Ruthlyne and made some posters with information about the project. We raised 280.- € which is less than I hoped but still better than nothing. I hope that sooner or later some of my guests will become members of the Rafiki Club.

So maybe this is an idea for your next Birthday, Christmas or New Year Party. I had the impression that many people want to give something, they just feel insecure which project is really useful and trustworthy. In this case we can help. Good luck!
