Adult education program in Ilesi, Kenya

In April me and my friend Katrin visited Project Africa in Kakamega, Kenya. Some of the women I met, are also a part of the Rafiki Club. It was a very moving visit. Some women seemed very shy and vulnerable, others were really strong. But they all seemed so incredibly motivated to learn. I was invited to attend an adult education english lesson. Dozens of women were sitting in a tiny room and concentrated listening to the teacher. After the lesson they asked us many question about our life in Germany.

It was a valuable experience to be there. I felt so very welcome in Ilesi and I´d love to share with you some of the positive vibrations that I felt there. I know now that it´s so easy to support women there. It already gives them so much strengh to know that there are people on the other side of the world who care about them and who appreciate their daily struggle for education and a better life. Taking part in the Rafiki Club you can experience it yourself.

Take care
