Holding you in the middle

Last night I was looking at the moon, a tiny sliver so wonderfully perfect hanging in the sky. And I thought- Doesn't it look the same in Syria? How can the conditions on the ground be so different than here, outside my home in Florida?

And today I ask myself- Can I live somewhere between faith and doubt? Doubt that any human ought to suffer the atrocities of war; And faith that every human is given the exact circumstances they need to evolve?

What lives there in the middle?

Though my words alone are not enough, and I don't know the answers on how to bring peace, let this small gesture open a heart toward faith.

Sisters and brothers of Syria, know that you are activating love in our hearts, making the urge for a peaceful world stronger. May you draw support from this love that encircles the globe, from the moon to the sun and beyond.
