End the stigma around disability with me.

In Nigeria today, persons with disabilities are seen as charity cases. Their unique gifts and contributions to society go unseen. Worse still, they don’t know their own self-worth. I grew up with a disability. I have lived firsthand the life of a woman pitied but not valued.

Through my organization, Divine Foundation for Disabled Persons, I work to make sure people with disabilities are fully contributing members of society who know and value their own self-worth. We do this in three ways: we empower individuals through skills training; we raise awareness in the community on the value of persons with disabilities; and we hold advocacy campaigns to stop abuse of the disabled.
