Introducing myself and my journal: Zonta Club of Tualatin Valley

About Me:
Hello Pulsewire community! I'm pres. of Zonta Club of Tualatin Valley in Hillsboro Oregon. Zonta is an international service organization dedicated to advancing the status of women worldwide. We work on projects locally to help girls and women in our community, and work together with Zonta International Foundation (mostly with fundraisers for the international projects) to improve the lives of women globally. In June, we're having a bake sale/garage sale to benefit local hunger (after school and summer lunch programs) and raise funds for our club. In July, we're having our Charter Dinner! Also, partnering with Nike's summer reading program. We're excited about an opportunity for ongoing service that we just learned about to partner with Transitions Global for anti-trafficking work in our local area. This has the potential to be our ongoing local focus fo rservice and fund-raising. I'll keep you posted on how it's going!
