Introducing myself and my journal: Recovering our Voice

About Me: I am a writer, mother, grandmother, wife, and woman and child advocate. Like women everywhere, there are many facets to me -- I wear many hats, balance many responsibilities, have many dreams, and care about many things.

I live in the United States, In Los Angeles. I have a Ph.D. in Psychology, and use the valuable information I gained in that learning process to inform my writing, which typically focuses on social issues relating to women, children, and families. I am particularly concerned about the welfare and status of life for women, and to highlight this issue, I was inspired to write the book, "What is Your Self Worth?" A Woman's Guide To Validation." I know first-hand how violence and fear can repress a tender soul, and imprison a woman's voice. My goal in writing "What Is Your Self-Worth?" was to encourage women to find their own voices again, and to use them. I'm excited to be part of the dialog, part of the solution, part of the change, part of the pulse.

My Passions: Cooking, knitting, skiing, hiking, walking in the mountains.

My Challenges: Writing my next book.

My Vision for the Future: End to the violence against women

My Areas of Expertise: Psychology, writing, child welfare, pediatric healthcare

I love your last line "I'm excited to be part of the dialog, part of the solution, part of the change, part of the pulse." We're all excited too.

    Dear Cheryl,

We are thrilled to have you as a new member in our thriving community of women who are lifting their voices in the name of empowerment and connecting across borders to accelerate change!

I encourage you to take a look at the PulseWire Getting Started Guide to learn how to dive into the community, begin sharing your voice, and connect with like-minded women worldwide.

This is a safe space for women to share, connect, learn, support and grow in the empowerment process together. I am happy to connect you with grassroots women leaders in our community, who are working around specific issues or in regions that interest you.

You wrote that you're passionate about ending violence against women. We just wrapped up a powerful campaign on PulseWire, where women worldwide posted testimonial letters in their journals, on the urgency of the International Violence Against Women Act. You can read their letters here:

    In friendship, Jade Frank
