I can change my world, one story at a time!

Story
The biggest thing about Web 2.0 is that lots of people who have never met and will probably never meet each other can collaborate on an idea, give it life, and reap the benefits thereof.
It is the fact using tools like Facebook, Twitter, blogs, people can share their stories, and either educate, inform or empower others, or prevent them from making the same mistakes they have made.
Global women's empowerment has grown in leaps and bounds since the advent of the internet, and more importantly these social platforms. It's like we have a gramophone in our hands with which we can scream -
- I am here!
- I won't be taken for granted!
- I have a part to play in developing my community/state/country, and I am ready for it!
- I won't be abused, verbally, emotionally, or physically!
Stories abound of women doing great things and championing great causes via social media, and it is an encouragement for other females to take charge of their lives and the circumstances around them, because they can. Examples are 15 year old Malala, the escalation of the rapes in India, great women like Noha exposing, and giving people in her country the window to expose corrupt and violent police officers, the stories keep increasing by the day! It's so exciting! The birth of one story hitting global stands is automatically the conception of another because we see that if one person did it, we can!
What can I do with Web 2.0? I can take that voice it gives me, and keep talking. Drive conversations, interact with other people (men and women alike), I can better my circumstances by gaining new knowledge (formally or informally). I can consult on or challenge policies and directives from my leaders that I feel stifle my rights as a woman.
Simple put, I can change my world, one story at a time.
