Introducing myself and my journal: Even the Stones Sing

About Me:
I wear many hats, some of which dance together more graciously than others! By profession I am a mother and Montessori teacher. By avocation I am an artist, musician, writer, dancer and Zen practitioner. I am passionate about cultivating and supporting women's community as this has been where I've been able to access the deepest recesses of courage, faith, friendship and empowerment in my life. I have lived very full life, and despite many challenges and more than my fair share of pain and loss, to paraphrase Edith Piaf, I regret none of it. In my experience, out of the detritus of every loss, comes a clearer view of the wild beauty of our lives. The tricky part always comes in how to share most skilfully the grains of wisdom culled from the chaff of our experiences. It seems this is an ongoing process worthy of our attentions.
I have been married for 20 years, have three children (one daugther and two sons), a little dog and a black cat. I also have a magic wand I created from a curly willow stick. I'm not afraid to use it! :~)

My Passions:
Zen practice, all the expressive arts, gardening, family

My Challenges:
sharing my wisdom in public forums

My Vision for the Future:
a world in which people employed in child care, social work, caring professions are paid top salaries rather than bottom of the barrell salaries.

My Areas of Expertise:
meditation, art, particularly visual art, writing, teaching
