About Me:
Centre for Legal Rights Education, Advocacy and Development -CLREAD is development conscious organization which was started in the year 2005 as a task force of Community Resource Persons [CORPS] and is now registered as a National NGO with a registration number is OP218/051/11-01/6933. The organization is a gender concern and Human Rights Institution focusing on Women and Children Human Rights protection, Advocacy and Economic Empowerment. CLREAD focuses on the needs of underserved and marginalized women, female youth and children living below poverty line. The organization is operating in Kisumu County and its Environs responding to human rights and social needs of Women Sex workers, Women Prisoners and those abused in the society due to ignorance on the Rule of law, Retrogressive Cultural Beliefs and Practices.
Our Vision: - A society where human rights, Gender Equality and Equity are practically observed respected and protected as key pillars for sustainable development.
Our Mission: - To promote gender equality, equity, rights based principles, good governance and respect of human rights for peaceful co-existence and effective sustainable development.
Our Goal: - Improved knowledge, information sharing, communication and dialogue on human rights, gender equality and equity, culture and democratic governance to enhance community development for transformed livelihood in Kenya
