I am one of the many women working in the development sector trying to help out as much as I could, in anyway I could.
As a disability generalist, I encountered a lot of stories, issues on women and girls and we know that it is a sector that cuts across all. I am well aware of how difficult it is to be a woman and a woman with disabilty especially in places where they rate us only second to everything.
I try to be positive though its challenging most of the time, when you're faced with situations that are hard to find solutions or that solutions are there but seems to be "yet so far". But then, I never lose hope -- there always a way out of a situation. I cannot be angry of the injustice all the time, so I decided to see my world in a loving and kind way then I can sleep each night happy that I have done something good and the fight can continue tomorrow :).
Here, I hope to share my perspective in everything and anything about disability and inclusive development. I love to teach and share ideas at the same time to learn which I hope to do it here with all of the members of World Pulse.
When not talking and thinking disability, I write stories about my adventure and poems in my personal blog, I read a lot too -- all genre but with special interest in biographies and classic stories and I travel whenever I can to re-charge. I have a big collection of music and I love to watch movies, bias to the movies of Akira Kurosawa and other old foreign films and cartoons with my lovely niece.
My Vision for the Future
To live in a world where everybody is free. No more wars. No more fighting.
To live in a world where we, WOMEN are free to express ourselves, leading the world, building a happy family, raising good children and belonging in a community where the value of humanity is uphold to the highest esteem.
To be who we are and want to be!
