Introducing myself and my journal: On the importance of play

About Me:
Currently a student at Lewis and Clark College in beautiful Portland, Oregon, attaining a degree in Sociology/Anthropology but have had the constant urge to take psychology classes without ever being able to do so. I currently have an internship at a domestic violence shelter here in Portland where I am working with the children in the shelter. It has changed me in more ways than I could have ever imagined.
I enjoy laughter, chaos, and spontaneity as well as hiking, wandering, attempts at cooking, and attending shows. I believe in people and their ability to be anything and everything they want to be. I would love to hear your story. Lets talk!

My Passions:
photography, time, bad dancers, snowboarding, back cracks, sushi, black coffee, dark beer, joe strummer, astronomy, meeting random people in airports and on trains.

My Challenges:
learn how to speak up, believe in myself, and continue to take risks!

My Vision for the Future:
Be happy, confused, challenged and never satisfied

My Areas of Expertise:
Children, art/dance/play therapy, friendship
