Daisy Onkoba is a Journalist (reporter) at Africa Community Development Media (ACDM). Her primary areas of journalism include online media, gender advocacy, reproductive health and leadership.
Daisy joined editorial department at ACDM (Safari Africa Radio) in 2014. She contribute to the development and delivery of news articles, features (http://www.safariafricaradio.com/) and managed a newsletter called Johari. She also oversees operations of Kenya Civil Society Information Service ((KCSIS – acdm.co.ke/kcsis),a web portal under Africa Community Development Media (ACDM) created to consolidate information from Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across the country.
Daisy is a member for Association for Media Women in Kenya, International Association for Women in Radio and Television, Kenya Correspondent Association and a mentee of Leadership, Management & Governance project. She regularly speaks on journalism best practices and advocates for women issues nationally. Daisy has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Nairobi. She also hold Diploma in print media from Multimedia University. She has been involved in Technological Violence against Women Research based in Kenya. Her hobbies include Traveling, Networking and Reading inspirational Novels.
