Video Interview with Anita Sharma of UN Millennium Campaign

I'd like to share a video interview I conducted with Anita Sharma, North America Coordinator of the United Nations Millennium Campaign. She says we already have the tools, resources, and delivery methods necessary to end global poverty. The major deterrent? Political action. Whether it's a campaign to create a new parking lot in your hometown or a campaign to end global poverty in the next five years, the strategies are the same -- being as noisy as possible in your support of the proposed policies at the appropriate levels of government.

Here, Anita talks about the United Nations Millennium Campaign and the role women and girls can play in supporting the campaign and helping achieve the eight millennium development goals by 2015. She also talks about the vital importance of the MDGs in the lives of women and children around the world.
