Introducing myself and my journal: Deka's Vision



About Me:



I am a very driven young woman who is involved in various community projects.
I am the Chairwoman of the recently created National Women Council for Girl-Education which oversees and coordinates girls education activities throughout Puntland, Somalia. I am also the President of the Puntland Students Association and speak at forums on behalf of the students.



I have good interpersonal and communication skills which have allowed me to develop productive working relationships with many across cultures and backgrounds.



I am inspired by women’s activism and involved in various girls leadership programs as well as peace education/conflict resolution here in Puntland.



I look forward to interacting and knowing you. I am already impressed by the many women here and the work they do.
