The complexity of survival

My picture is one of a mountain flower I took last week at Mount Hood, OR. In order to survive, this flower needs to have thousands of smaller flowers so it can guarantee a new generation sprouting somewhere in the future. As I reflect on the complexity of our lives, I wonder if survival is also our end result. I like simplicity and I often struggle to find simplicity in complexity! Maybe I do not want to survive, I want to LIVE!

We need many trees in the forest, cross-pollinating to survive!

. . . thank you for that sweet photograph and the accompanying explanation of it. I so understand what you mean about struggling to find simplicity in complexity.

Ah, to live a more Zen lifestyle.
