The Law don’t support cadaver transplant from deceased persons

The Macedonian nation is humane and high awareness of donation and transplantation of organs. About 70 percent of respondents believe that donations human organs is a positive act, while 75 percent would donate organs to save human life. The idea of donating organs is supported more by women than men. This survey which covered 4000 respondents, and that the request of the National Foundation for transplantation conducted by GfK Group.

The results of the survey also shows that the idea of donating organs after his death, supporting about 60 percent of respondents, with 22 percent of them would certainly have done so, while 40 percent said that they would probably allow such a thing, depending on the circumstances. Among the participants there are those who oppose it, often because of lack of trust in institutions.

\"The results are more surprising and suggest that this is a humane nation,\" said Doctor Vladimir Cadikovski, president of the National Foundation for transplantation.

Despite the great humanity, however, in our country the transplantation is not fully in live. Although there Transplantation Act of 1995 which still is not supported by cadaver transplant from deceased persons.

\"We must determine where the problem and to call on experts to sit together. On the one hand we have a humane nation, and the other law, but the transplant, however, does not work, \"stressed Cadikovski. According to him, most likely is a problem in the organization. \"Under the law, organs after death can donate if in the course of life people are not opposed to it. But to plead that they are against donating organs, there is no where to say it, \"explains Dr. Cadikovski.

Law on transplantation is almost same with Croatian law. So Dr. Cadikovski offers certificate for donating organs to fill the doctor, in a form that supports the idea. Such a certificate can then be registered with the Ministry of Health.

State Secretary of Ministry of Health, Zoran Stojanovski, says the idea is good and that this fact can be entered in the electronic health card which is already six months. He says the health ministry team will now work on this matter.

Countries in Europe, Croatia has the best results in donations authorities. It is interesting that in Europe the trend is declining, and everything is more common image of the long waiting lists of authorities.
