I signed up to this network, to fulfill my job as content developer for the Appleseeds Academy Organization. (http://www.appleseeds.org.il/)

I was asked to insert references to this website into the Intel Easy Steps program, created by the International Intel company and the Israeli Appleseeds Academy, to promote woman in Africa, by exposing them to basic computer applications, so they could connect to all what happens in our global community, expend their options, speak up for themselves and even represent their local community.

While working, I was introduced to this global community, to past and current campaigns, columns, stories and images... I hope we can promote our voices and idea together, and on a personal note- I appreciate this enterprise very much.

Best wishes to all, Dikla.

Take action! This post was submitted in response to WWW: Women Weave the Web .

Dear Dikla,

Thank you so much for your posting and for making us aware of Appleseeds Academy. I went to your web link and was so impressed by what is being accomplished. It looks like a wonderful connection you are making between your organization and the World Pulse community.

Your mission of teaching women basic computer applications is so important to expanding their access to a broader world. I look forward to hearing more from you about your work and seeing how it links in with World Pulse.

Dear Dikla,

thank you for your message and inspiring words about what women in Africa can gain if they learn and gain basic computer skills, being able to connect and interact with the global community.

The Appleseeds Academy looks as an interesting resource, maybe you can tell us more about it and introduce its benefits? Can other members of WorldPulse community maybe join it and benefit from it? Is it a global organisation or it only helps to benefit women from Africa?

My own work is closely related to capacity building and empowerment of young people and young women to advocate for digital rights and free, open and universal Internet. I really want to learn if the Appleseeds Academy can be of help and use for my community. As you fairly noted, together we can promote our voices and ideas, and I believe its a great way to support each other as well!

Thank you,

Anya
