Introducing myself and my journal: believing in the possibility of change

About Me:
I have worked with young people across the National Capital Region (NCR) of India. The specific focus of my work has been with street chidren between the ages of 13 to 20, helping them make digital stories on social issues relevant to them. I have also trained school children and college students of NCR on issues of Gender and Sexuality.

I started working at the age of 18, as a volunteer with a non-governmental organisation called "The YP Foundation". We work with issues of Gender , sexuality, governance, health, arts and education. I have worked with each of these issues as a staff member in the last 1 and a half years, in the arts division of the organisation and co - coordinating a project called Butterfly Project, that focuses on promoting young people's human rights through the medium of film and literature.

My Passions:
I love reading, cooking , dancing and watching films.

My Challenges:
Presentation skills and fundraising

My Vision for the Future:
I wish to see a world where media is available to all and all young people can use the medium to express the issues they feel passionately about. Where people have a say and access to their rights, where people are accepted for who they are.

My Areas of Expertise:
Scripting, storyboarding and facilitation and team management.
