Violation of Lesbians in South Africa

I was horrified when i listened to reports on BBC and RFI of how lesbians in South Africa are raped by men in the hope of curing them to become heterosexuals. A black woman recounted the awful incident of how she was raped by a gang leader who was interested in her girl-friend.She was the \"lucky\" one though because she lived to tell the tale.Others paid with their lives These victims are helpless as the authorities seem not to be acting as they ought to. i really do not know what is going on there but it will be a shame if people are allowing their personal feelings get into the way of correcting this unwelcome situation.Lesbians are guaranteed rights by the South African constitution and even if they aren't, these group of people like everybody else deserve to be protected from harm.
