Introducing myself and my journal: Resilience in Words

About Me:
I am a writer and an educator. I teach women's and world history at the Community College of Vermont. I love what I do and am truly blessed by the gifts of my life I have been given. I am also the Workshop Coordinator for the Afghan Women's Writing Project at www.awwproject.org--an online magazine that gives voice to women in wartorn Afghanistan

My Passions:
teaching, family, music, arts

My Challenges:
to show young women a path toward empowerment in a world that is increasingly closed off to women's energy and spirit.

My Vision for the Future:
I imagine an future where the disempowered find voice to their ideas and visions, bringing a better brighter future for their children
