I am an indigenous woman from Australia. I am fortunate to be living in remote Australia in a community called Numbulwar. This are not my traditional country, however the Ngalmi Clan group has adopted me as their daughter. I am a mother of two young women aged 22 and 20 who recently come back to live with me after boarding school and working in the city. I am also second mother to three young girls aged 17, 15, 14 and my sons are 20 and 10. My 20 year old son has a boy aged 1 who is my heart.
I am a Media Officer with the Roper Gulf Regional Council which governs the community of Numbulwar. My background is Radio Journalism but I have delved in films, event management, community development, creative writing, photographic exhibition and music development.
I have a passion for storytelling, filming traditional dancing and recording traditional songs. I am currently working on developing a festival for the community, writing scripts for a number of television program ideas on indigenous lives and working on the logistic of taking a traditional dance group to other communities for their respective festivals.
