Introducing myself and my journal: Authenticity is Powerful!

About Me:
I am so excited to connect with such an inspiring group of amazing women. I hope to learn from my sisters near and far and hope to give some meaningful insight, resources and support back. When I traveled to Uganda 2 years ago, I felt a connection with the women of the Acholi Quarter (an IDP camp) there that was indescribable. I knew that I had to return and help them achieve their dreams to return to their home in Northern Uganda. I returned in November 2012 with the founder of Red Earth Rising, to help start making these dreams a reality. This is just the first project of a global mission to empower women and girls.

As a mother of three girls, I hope to help create a better future for my daughters where they will be respected and their voices will be heard! We can all do this together! As one of my heroes, Tererai Trent, said to me, "I really think women are going to change the world!".
