my heroe

I am Emily from Kenya where Cuture rules. My mother was not welcomed because she was a mother of girls, and in this community a baby girl was considered worth less, useless, and a take away. Here my father and my mother are my heroes, they adhered to their principles of a child is a child and they aught to be treated the same.My grand mother gave us a nick-name [Ogolo]meaning -weeds.My mother and father gave us the best treatment and took us to best schools regardless of her mother. When i gave birth to my first child my grand mother instructed my parents not to carry my child because they were young and doing so would bring them a taboo. Here my father clashed with her mother and it brought a very bad difference between them.My father comanded my mother to carry my baby and take care of her meanwhile i was to continue with my studies. This was done cxontrary to our culture and they were considerd out casts.I went to Medical Training Centre for four years and my child was well taken by my parents. My baby was never sick,my parents were never sick and they prospered in their business than ever. When i graduated i worked for a few years and then resighned at a early age and opened my private childrens hospital. This brought down the community on their value to the girl child. My parents stand to their daughters has become an example in my luo comunity as so and so did not follow your culture and now see how the home is bright.TO DAY GIRLS ARE VALUED AND MY GRAND MOTHER DIED WITH A REGRET OF NOT KNOWING.MY FATHER AND MY MOTHER ARE MY HEROES.
