THE BOY CHILD

THE BOY CHILD

The condition of a girl child is a priority
And those classes of people known as minority
But what about the boy child
He faces challenges too as a child

Many encounter hardship
In most of our township
Driven by harsh conditions
Some have no accommodation

Many are street bound
Where ruthlessness abounds
Acquiring dangerous acts
Requiring social concerns to react

Others turn aggressive
And seize to be impressive
Referred to as juvenile delinquent
Their expression is no longer eloquent

The rural boy toils
To till the soil
To fight for family revival
As a means of survival

The boy child needs education
To realize his aspirations
They require sensitization on gender issues
So that the gender fight could be rescue
