My journey to PulseWire

My journey to PulseWire started on the Farm Radio International Newsletter sent to all readers and subscribers to the Farm Radio web page. As a reporters who has never undergo any formal training in the field of journalism I try my best to acquire knowledge different online training like the Online Radio Scriptwriting training organized by the Farm Radio International for participants of the 2010 Radio Script Writing Competition.
The same process led me to apply for this training when I saw it on my mail and decided to join the group because of its content and its title which connotes that women should speak for themselves.
I believe in the fact that women are marginalized in the world, especially in Africa where women are seen as general weaker sex who should always be under the command of a man at all times, an African woman is seen as one who lives to serve her husband, serve as child producing machines, strap her child to her back, fetch wood for cooking and prepare her home at all times among others.
But the global trend today has shown that women are important in the society and in the development of the society, because women constitute the most marginalized as a result of this, our voices needed to be heard so that we will forward and discuss issues relating to women and profeer solutions to them appropriately.
My journey to PulseWire is to be a voice for women who do not yet have access to education, media and other social networks where they can give a voice but I believe every woman on this network will be willing to speak for herself and womanhood in general without regret or fear.
