I studied art and art history at Carleton College (class of '90) in Minnesota, United States, where I split my time between the art studio and the classroom. I have exhibited in shows at Carleton College, and in galleries and artists’ cooperatives in Seattle, Antwerp and The Hague.
My most recent project is a blog/traveling exhibit/book called Exploring Beauty. Exploring Beauty raises questions about what is real beauty, by combining interviews and photographs of real women and their thoughts about body image, cultural differences, age, sexuality, confidence, growth and, most importantly, character.
I continued to create art while pursuing a career in civil engineering for 15 years. In 2008, I decided to realize a lifelong dream: I became a full-time artist. A United States citizen, I currently live and work in The Hague. My website is www.exploringbeauty.org. art, painting, photography, raising questions about beauty photography, painting, art, art history
