Indonesia Women weave the web



We are in the era of globalization; however many women may not knowing how to utilize the technology for their advancement; particularly women live in the rural areas.
Gender Harmony (GH) training targeting to women and men in the rural areas has taught them how to use internet in order to uphold their quality of life, in priority to jump over the poverty line as partners in harmonious living, being self independence, healthy towards advancement and family welfare. The government has given facility within sub district; a mobile internet service; and in every village there are several internet cafe conducted by private community ready to be accessed for only Rp. 2000 - 3000 per hour (about 0.25 US$).
They learned to get information to increase their economic skills, good recipe for food, marketing their products etc.
