Introducing myself and my journal: Fiction For A Change



About Me:
Evadne Macedo is a Canadian novelist with an interest in using stories to advance social change. She blogs about writing and related events at http://books.macedo.ca. Evadne's first novel, The 29th Day, entertains while provoking discussion about homelessness and climate change (http://29thdaynovel.com). Evadne is currently working on a non-fiction book that connects to the theme of her blog, Fiction For a Change and author interviews she conducted in 2009-2010 (see for example, http://books.macedo.ca/?p=2482). She is also researching gender equality for her third novel, and a non-fiction book which explores the link between institutionalized patriarchy, wealth and women's inequality. Evadne Macedo has university degrees in law and science, and is currently employed as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Ontario Human Rights Commission where she has worked since 2002.
