16 days of Activism: #ActionAgainstGbV

#ActionAgainstGBV Campaign

The #ActionAgiantsGBV Campaign is a Social Media Campaign aimed at highlighting the systemic nature of gender-based violence(GBV) and militarism which encourages inequality, discrimination and prioritizes weapons spending over funding for quality education and healthcare and safe public space and to call for action .

Organized by Africa Civil Society Coalition on Population Development(ACCPD), Dandelion Kenya ,Young Women Leadership institute(YWLI), Women for Change Cameroon(WFAC) and Fortress of Hope Africa (FOHA) ,the campaign will engage Women/girls rights allies during the 16 days of activism , share and profile Militarism and End Gender-Based Violence data and facts and call for action from African leader
Positioning the 16 Days Campaign from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and December 10 (Human Rights Day) rightfully stresses that gender-based violence is an international human rights violation. In the lead up to, and during, the 16 days of activism, we will highlight the systemic nature of gender-based violence and militarism which encourages inequality and discrimination and prioritizes weapons spending over funding for quality education and healthcare and safe public spaces.
We invites all Activist around the world to join #ActionAgainstGBV Campaign activities. It will be fun, educating and rejuvenating.
