International Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day!

International women's day is a day to celebrate human rights. It is a day to be thankful for all of the strong women that have fought for female voices, both politically, socially, and economically. It is vital that women's rights are acknowledged, so that we may continue to strive for gender equilibrium in our own communities, and internationally. It is a day for men and women to acknolwedge prejudices within society and break the barriers that separate us from loving everyone. Let us use this day to erase our ignorance and become enlightened individuals, pushing society towards a future that is just.

There are many ways that we can fight for women's - human - rights. One of the best ways to fight is to encourage political action by signing petitions. Change.org and Amnesty International are both extremely credible and resourceful sites, with plenty of petitions that promote justice for girls and women internationally.

Today is an important day to recognize the oppression of women that was and that is. Today, and every other day, is an opportunity to give a voice to those who don't have one. Please help fight for a hopeful future, with justice and peace. Let's stand together and change how we perceive women, and if we can change our prejudices and how we think, we can change society. Let's #MakeItHappen!
