Frank Smyth is an award-winning journalist, founder and executive director of Global Journalist Security, and an advisor to the Committee to Protect Journalists. While Frank still writes on matters including global press freedom and American gun violence, he focuses most of his time running GJS, which is a Hostile Environments training and consulting firm oriented to serve journalists, citizen journalists and human rights defenders. Frank lives with his family in Washington, DC, and continues to travel frequently to provide trainings. He began advising World Pulse back in 2010 and hasn't stopped since.
