Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Bios - not my favourite thing! My name means Mother of Freedom, my parents were hoping freedom from the heinous injustices that characterised apartheid South Africa would come in my lifetime - and it did! I'm frequently described as 'crazy', but I'm sure they just mean independent and colourful and determined and alive. I have an insatiable appetite for knowing and understanding, goodness and making needlessly complex things simple. My idea of a perfect afternoon would be lying on my back, legs up in the air, with a darkly humorous and insightful book in one hand, a chocolate crunchie in the other, a glass of robust South African red wine in a glass next to me, the almost inaudible sound of insects reminding me there's life underneath the grassy patch where I lie, and the sun's rays streaming in through pregnant white clouds - at just the right angle... Oh and English isn't my home language, just ticked it because there wasn't the option of any of the 11 South African official languages..

My Passions:
People, seeing women and men empowered, understanding the way life and the world works, ideas, cultures, pretty things

My Challenges:
Transcending the mundane and encouraging beautiful people, especially women, around me to awake to the reality of their awesomeness

My Vision for the Future:
The two answers above - combined - hope I'm not aiming too low here

My Areas of Expertise:
communications, performance art
