A miraculous prayer in Ruwa

It was a sunny Sunday morning, the sun was up and my heart beat faster than usual. I was going to lead the mission prayer at our church later that morning. I had fasted the previous day and had prayed and asked the Holy spirit to guide me in the pre-service prayer. I wanted the prayer to be strong. Our Pastors have shown and taught us how to pray and because we are obedient, I got more and more excited as we approached the primary school classroom where our local church holds their Sunday service because I knew a miracle was near.

I wanted it to be real and the Holy Spirit leapt and caused silent kicks in my belly. It was like I was about to go into labour! The congregation looked at me expectantly. The fear subsided and I asked my fellow saints to form a circle in the typical rugby style. Their arms were clamped around each other. The air was changing as the holy spirit moved through the room. I went and knelt before our Pastors. I was ready to go!

As I thanked the Lord for our faithful pastors and asked for their preservation and blessings, my fellow saints thundered the stance:

Father, we lift up our pastors and cover them with the blood of Jesus!

I thanked God for his workmanship in them, for equipping them in every good thing they do in His will. I thanked Him because the good work in them would be perfected. We declared an increase in all their territory and thanked God that they continually triumph in Christ, diffusing the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. We thanked God that their speech and preaching was in demonstration of the Spirit and declared that they are instant in season and out of season to preach the Word. We tore down the strongholds over the pulpit and declared that sickness and disease shall in no way come near them as we repeated the stance after each affirmation.
The room shook in rhythm with my heart beat and the spirit in my womb leapt in excitement for I knew that the vision of our church “Building People, Building Dreams, Transforming Lives, Reforming Nations was gaining momentum. Prayer is serious business at our Church in Ruwa, Zimbabwe. Coupled with faith and action, such powerful prayer is moving mountains in our local town! This is our miracle!
