Digital Media is personal; each individual comes with the complexities of the time, region, religion, sex, gender, sexuality, race, caste and class. It does not hide behind the façade of objectivity. It covers the uncovered. No economics to control what is only important.



There is no exact definition being a Woman, it constitutes on the individual’s circumstances. The empowerment with Web 2.0 is to bring forward all the differences and similarities. Nothing will be lost, even the softest voice will be heard!



This new age media has distinctive characteristics. The difference of knowing and not knowing is limited to a search button. We are hit with a lot of information everyday and try to make sense of it. There is also a feature of ‘The Death of the Author’, that information posted also depends of the recipient. The Skanda Theory states how human beings grasp information-register, appraise, stereotype, ready and attend. So first there is the impact, then they subsume, next they classify, after which they disposition and then they choose to pursue or avoid it. There is a sense of understanding in their paradigm.



The reader too will try to comprehend all the differences and similarities in their given world. There will chances to question each other and ourselves. By learning from others, they will empower themselves by knowing antiquity is not always right. What is customary or normal will not define their being.



Web 2.0 is a reflective media. We are all put on one platform. With Web 2.0, there will chances for dialogue and gaining greater insights. It will help me work out or make peace with the contradictions I feel. As said, an unexamined life is not worth living.
