"VOF Week 3: (blog and me )."

Many unheard and silent voices of women are heard through blogs. I remember once our local newspaper published a story of a woman, a house wife , who used to publish her poems in her blog and had many readers. In the news story she said the only way out of the four walls of her home / kitchen was the blog where she finds happiness .She used to write poems from her childhood and none was published. She was desperate and was married in very early age and her life was idle with house hold works. She was away from books or creative world. Later in her 50’s she discovered blog (after her children grew up) and started publishing her poems and thoughts . she had lot of readers and friends all around the world . she is extremely happy now and and enjoys life.

Though I keep a blog for myself I never update it . My friends often advices me to update and write something new. I couldn’t. For me the biggest barrier is time. And i don't know why ,I find happiness to publish my articles in magazines than my blog. I think its because of the unfamiliar media ie, blog .

And Another advantage of blog is that each and every one gets an equal opportunity to communicate or to have a creative world around themselves and which is globally accessible. People post a lot of things I find it difficult to differentiate the best. And I find it’s the demerit of blog . Another thing I find is that it’s a virtual space any one can read, comment, or even say lies or have a fraud identity. The best positive thing is that here many voices/thoughts are heard it may be of women, downtrodden people, dalits , minority , gay or lesbians ,tribes etc . They finds space in this virtual world, people whose issues are not taken up or published by the conventional media . Many issues neglected by the mainstream media is published in blog and their voice are heard globally.

http://binuvinte-kavithakal.blogspot.com/ is a blog of a youth called binu who could not walk instead scroll on ground from his childhood. But now after his poems were published in his bog people all over the world came to know about him. His parent had to sell all their land and house and had to migrate to another state due to the loan taken for his treatment and agrarian crisis. People around the world helped him.His book is about to be published and he had undergone treatment with the help of his global friends and could walk now . Thus i experienced the humanitarian touch of blogs .
