Some of my fighting with RSS, HTML and my home page.

This is how I am getting information for my blog Marianist Resources

I had several email addresses but as it happens I found it more convenient to get gmail. The blog I have is already a google service.

I went to the Google search page and chose IGoogle to personalize Google as my personal web page. There are all kinds of little things like calendars, clocks, and so for which can be added to the web page.

My home page is IGoogle but it is full of RSS feeds.

I have some RSS feeds from the United Nations. The United Nations has all kinds of RSS feeds.

I find a web page and want them to send me information on the new things they have available.

If I really want to keep track of news on a site, I go to the Web Page, I look for a red RSS link. Clicking on that link automatically gives me a little box on my home page with links inside. (IF you are lucky the feed from the website will be \"Google\" friendly)

If you are starting with RSS and the above is confusing, just ask me where you would like more detail.

You can also look at my blog and ask just how I made something happen.

the KEY TO THIS is One thing at a time, trying, making errors , trying again, until it works.

The worst thing to do is buy some thick book on a computer topics. If you are even an expert and have a question the best books are the books for idiots and dummies.
