I am grateful for living in America where women really matter

I am so glad that i live in America where woman make news everyday, by over coming challenges and keeping their heads down, standing in the fire, as truth tellers, to fill in the need for more love and understanding. I grew up during the sixties and seventies when women were finding themselves and were independent. I see there are many places in the world where women still need to be liberated. Countries where they don't allow girls to go to school.

Women must stand together to stand up to biaz and downright unfair practices. We must not stand by when we see injustice, anywhere. Sure it's hard to stand up to oppression but we must not lose faith. There is always the hope that humanity will see the logic behind empowering women and girls.

At to our men some who are true allies, who nurture us and do the right thing. It's to those men that i say, welcome brother to our wonderful world where men and women can come together and love, and nuture each other.

To my beloved who took me to spend the day with my mother, who has my back, who cares for me when i am in need, I have Multiple Sclerosis, and he takes up the slack when i run out of energy. He is the gatekeeper so i don't run myself ragged. He is a good man who treats me like an equal. He is also a truth teller, and sometimes people misunderstand his truth. But he is willing to stand with the truth out of a strong sense of principle and pride. He is my partner and i love him with all my heart.
