Since I was little, I've always spoken up for the underdog. My 4th grade teacher picked me to accompany a girl who was being bullied outside the classroom, so the teacher could talk frankly to the students. In my 20s, I was the first Women's Studies Coordinator at CSUC in Northern California. For the last decade I've researched girls' activism globally for a book draft Brave: The Global Girls' Revolution.
