Introducing myself and my journal: The Global Sunrise Project

About Me:
I'm a 10th grader who attends a Toronto high school. I've been very involved with Free the Children’s “Me to We” movement for the past 8 years and attend leadership training each summer with various organizations & have actively participated in several youth summits. In March, 2013 I was selected as a youth delegate by the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace to attend the United Nations for the 57th annual session on the Commission of the Status of Women and returned again this year where I heard about World Pulse.

I'm a passionate photographer, aspiring filmmaker, blogger & social entrepreneur & have been since a very young age, turning my creative interests into a viable entrepreneurial enterprise (Sweet Scrub © & Kasha’s Cards of Kindness ©) which provides funds to fuel my love of photography, while simultaneously contributing to causes I care about.

I'm taking the remainder of the school year off to travel with my mother and will be leaving in May to start a six month journey around the world to find stories of hope and resilience that I can weave into a documentary film I'm making about Global Citizenship. You can follow me as I blog about inspirational people, places and ideas that are shaping the future we want to create and changing the world for the better.
