Women wave the web

We were to write a journal on issues affecting women development in the digital world. unfortunately, by the time we went to internet yesterday which the last day for campaigning, the internet sever signal strength was very low. Sierra Leone is one of the west African countries that is facing very difficult situation in terms of internet connectivity and unreliable electricity supply. I you conduct a research now on these kind of situation, I think you will prove me rights. Even in the city people are facing the same difficulties in terms of internet connectivity and unreliable electricity supply.
But however, Some of us are still working to cope with the challenges posed on us as head of organizations in Sierra Leone. We decided to join Women weave the web because, the world today has become a global village with huge resources to tap into and explore women's potentials and development through digital actions.
Our organization is working to promote the rights of Women, children and youth in the rural community more especially. Women in the rural communities are the core for bringing up children. They contribute immensely towards Agricultural from start to finishing. But rural women are still marginalized and disadvantaged. Their rights are been tampered with impunity for lack human rights education, resources to empower themselves.
We the members of Taia Development Programme (TDP) are therefore seeking support from women weave the web to build the capacity of rural women in Moyamba district particularly Kori chiefdom by providing a resource center for rural women where the world will come to their finger tips to mobilize contacts, resources to sustain themselves and live in dignity.
