The Triangle gives me hope

The Triangle  gives me hope

My triangle is composed of My Children, My Mother and My Siblings. These have given me hope and kept me going even in the worst circumstances of life. On 19th November 2015, I fled a violent marriage but without the support of my mother and siblings, this would have been impossible. We always need people that will understand us in our lowest moments of life and these 2 parts of the triangle have understood and stood by my side all tough moments of life. I remember, I wanted to move on but I could not afford house rent, my younger siblings gave me their savings which I used to find a place to stay.

My mother is an exceptional person, she is a mother and grandmother to my children, she takes care of them on a daily basis as I hassle to look for an income. She is a great listener, she encourages me even when she may not fully understand the technicalities of the work you do.

Am blessed with 4 biological children (3 daughters and one son) aged 5 to 9 years but these have given me a sense of belonging in life. Children are innocent sincere friends that you can count on all the time. When I fled my marriage it met children had to be affected in a way, it called for understand has we moved to a point of lacking each day. My income was never enough to take care of all the bills including school fees.

I remember my daughter asked me when she was 8 years old, Mum what happened? Can’t dad take care of these bills? I went silent and she realized all was not okay, she only said, its ok if you don’t want to talk about this.

My children are a source of endless joy each day, I work much harder to ensure things are better for all of us each passing day. Another experience was I had 3 children with dental issues and I did not have the money to pay for treatment. I sat my children down as young as they were for us to agree on who should get treatment first since mum did not have enough money. It was clear the third born was in too much pain so she was given treatment first.

I have many little stories to share but I realize now that my children know that we can’t afford everything so when they are asking they will always say. Mum, if you can please buy us this? These are a key pillar that pushes me to work harder. Iam great full that God blessed me with children that are understanding and inspiring my journey of life.

Iam grateful that God has granted me a supportive triangle that keeps me going.
