Introducing myself and my journal: My dream

About Me:
Hello everyone! I'm Haruna, originally from Okinawa, Japan. I'm in the MA in International Development program in the US, and will be working with World Pulse for a month.

So my dream is simple, making the world a better place!
I'm focusing on sport (especially soccer) for development and Millennium Development Goals(MDGs). After I graduate from the program, I want to work in a development field in the US for a few years, and go back to Okinawa. One of the things what I want to do in Okinawa is to establish an international organization, and contribute to achieving MDGs through using soccer as a tool. Another thing I would like to do is become a professor at a university in Okinawa. Even though I study and work really hard, I can't contribute development by myself. As Okinawa has the highest unemployment rate and the lowest academic level in Japan, I think it is crucial to promote to teach the youth of Okinawans the importance of seeing the world.

Hope to learn and promote awareness of gender issues by connecting women in various regions through journals! Thanks for checking out my page :)

My Passions:
International development, Intercultural understanding, Soccer, Photography, Travel, Nail art
