About Me: There is an online blogger that said "my heart was made to travel." I am pretty sure this is the case for me, too! The experience of going anywhere for the first time, far or near, has me thrilled to see, feel, and learn new things. I am currently studying at Chiang Mai University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I am pursuing my masters in international development and service. I do not have the clarity of what area or topic to focus my thesis on yet, and find it an incredibly daunting task to pick one thing. I am a person that wants to know something about everything, which fuels my desire to want to meet people and see as much of the world I possibly can. While I have been in Southeast Asia, I came across and fell in love with this anonymous quote: "become friends with people who aren't your age. Hangout with people whose first language isn't the same as yours. Get to know someone who doesn't come from your social class. This is how you can see the world. This is how you grow." As a new member of World Pulse, I hope to make new friends from all walks of life, learn from you, and continue to grow myself.

My Passions: Travel and learning new things.

My Challenges: Doubting my own capabilities.

My Vision for the Future: A world where everyone is free and capable of fulfilling their fully desired potential.

My Areas of Expertise: Packing everything into a tiny travel bag.

Dear Heather,

I loved what you wrote in your profile. Interesting, thought provoking quotes and lots of similarities. I'm also passionate about sustainable community development, and, before having children, loved traveling with a tiny bag. (It was much easier before security at airports got so tight; before you could actually take everything you needed by hand and off you go.)

I see your profile has an American flag, but that you are studying in Thailand. What's your story there? What brought you across the word to study?

I look forward to reading you. Welcome home. :)
