About Me:
Hiba Safi,Tunis, Tunisia



Hiba is a community young leader engaged in the nonprofit sector, member of the Global Shapers Community-an initiative of the World Economic Forum, and currently serves as the Projects Development Manager in the Arab Institute of Business Leaders (IACE) --an independent business association and Think Tank that represents the private sector in Tunisia.In this capacity, she oversees the management of IACE’s broad range of initiatives and partnerships in the three core program areas of Entrepreneurship, leadership and civic engagement across Tunisia.



Her mission within IACE includes conducting entrepreneurship research, providing technical support, leading training programs, and advocating for reforms. All of these activities are geared towards promoting the growth and viability of Tunisia’s private sector, and giving it a voice in the country’s evolving political landscape.



Hiba has worked with national and international organizations and government bodies and has the experience of successfully organizing regional conferences that focus on transitional issues of Tunisia. Thanks to her in-depth communications and leadership skills, Hiba currently works with international partners notably; MEPI, the Kauffman Foundation, European Union, CIPE,IFC, Adam Smith International and G8 for Arab Countries in Transition. She has also contributed to the organization of the largest economic forum in Tunisia-The Enterprise Days- gathering international policy makers, business Leaders and experts from all over the world. .Additionally she has coordinated the Tunis Forum-2013 & 2014 editions and leading the organization of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, and Creative Business Cup in Tunisia. She’s also contributed to a research project on reforming the regulatory environment governing entrepreneurship after the Arab Spring led by Stanford University as well as a project on reforming the administrative procedures in Tunisia.



Hiba ensures the external relations of the Institute with its foreign partners and renowned Think Tanks and Manage the IACE portfolio of leadership and entrepreneurship programs.



Prior to this, Hiba worked with different NGOs notably the British Council in a close cooperation within MENA programs. Her thematic and sector expertise includes: Civic engagement, private sector, democracy, entrepreneurship, MENA affairs, advocacy, non-profit communications strategy.



She is a speaker at international conferences on Middle Eastern affairs. Through these and other experiences, Hiba has developed strong communications, leadership and productivity skills and reinforced her enthusiasm to bring about a positive change in her country and region. She is fluently trilingual in Arabic, English and French and has a good knowledge of Spanish and Turkish.
