Welcome to Human Rights OrganizationTaking care that human rights are respected is a real problem in some parts of the world, especially as far as women and children are concerned. Southeast Asia is one of the regions with a most delicate situation concerning this matter. Although many treaties and conventions concerning human rights have been ratified, such as the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocol, the Convention for the Suppression of Trafficking in Persons and of the Exploitation of Prostitution of Others, applying the law is still a problem.Luckily there are several organization that never cease fighting for human rights. Their members are always active as far as promoting human rights is concerned, they lobby and they spread relevant information to those who don’t really have access to such information. These organizations collaborate with the state and its institutions in order to implement the necessary policies and they work closely with the media with the purpose of educating the public and of bringing to light the truth about whether human rights are really respected or not in Southeast Asia.The Human Rights organization also known as the HRO is one of the most important such origination in India. It was funded in 1999 under the provisions of The Human Rights act. ( Its functions are very important: members of the organizations conduct inquiries in cases of human rights violation or negligence concerning human rights by a public authority; they make visits to jails to make sure inmates are having their rights respected, they study the relevant treaties and other international instruments, they encourage NGOs and institutions which work in the human rights field and they closely collaborate with such institutions and they even spread literacy in rural and disadvantaged areas and also information about human rights. Also, in those cases of human rights violation where victims are not in a position to go to court, this organization helps and supports them so that they have access to justice. Moreover, this organization undertakes different forms of research in the field of human rights.
