Introducing myself and my journal: Our View: Giving ear to womens view in Africa

About Me:
I am a busy mother. When I'm not busy, I write about womens issues, social and political issues. Prior to raising my family, I have been a trainer and a women's rights campaigner focusing on increasing support for the enactment of Domestic Violence Law, strengthening effective participation of women in public life and decision making processes and advocacy for government funded legal aid programmes at state levels in Nigeria. In my years of work I developed far-reaching experiences in research, designing/implementing of projects, develop of training/resource materials and facilitating conferences and training programs. I have facilitated programmes for the intervention of educators, the police and judiciary on dealing with domestic violence and women's rights.

I am a passionate follower of development stories and ground breaking efforts at sustaining and improving women's status around the globe. I hope to return to mainstream work in the near future even as I enjoy and identify today the tiny and unnoticed, minute by minute growth in my gifts.
