Introducing myself and my journal: Resilience Girls Empowerment - Nassau Bahamas

About Me:
After returning to the Bahamas from University in the U.S., I was determined to make a difference in the lives of young girls in my country. As I meet young women and girls, I saw the hurting looks on the face of many young girls. I heard their stories and witness their life turmoil's. Some looked so hopeless and destitute. There is a high rate of teen pregnancy in the Bahamas and low self esteem.

Resilience Girls Empower Program was established to empower young girls to overcome obstacles. To equip them to accomplish life goals. To inspire them to dream and believe in themselves.

My Passions:
working with youth, liturgical dance, travel

My Challenges:
lack of funding for non profit organization,

My Vision for the Future:
Literacy Program, Job Training and Placement Program

My Areas of Expertise:
Teen Mentoring
