"Single" Mothers?

This morning I was thinking to myself...is there a growing number of single mothers in the world? If so, why is that?

This happening sparks curiosity in me, especially since I myself fall into that category of \"single mother.\" Questions come about in my mind, such as \"Are we choosing poor partners?\" or \"Is it about our expectations?\" or even \"Is it all just miscommunication?\"

Perhaps some wise women in the World Pulse community can contribute their thoughts to these questions. And perhaps I will delve deeper myself, and do a little research on the topic. I know there are some of us who are single mothers by choice. There is also the single mom who left an abusive relationship. Even still there are single mothers who's partner has died. Whether or not we are parenting children without a partner by choice or by fate, here we are, in our growing numbers of uniqueness; Each of us travelling uncharted territories (or a well-known path for some), praying to god that we are making the right choices for ourselves and our children.

Does anyone have thoughts about this?

Much love and light,

Shell
